Cut Shoppe challenge

Hey guys,

I discovered The Cut Shoppe on Etsy just recently when I came across their The Heart Felt background cut. And I just discovered their monthly blog challenge so wanted to show you what I did with it and then, of course, link up to it!

I also wanted to show you the full cut as I didn't use the entire thing.  Below is the file cut at 12x12 which I then sprayed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in a variety of colours.  I put it on top of a piece of white cardstock too as a mask.  It is gorgeous both ways!!

Lastly, as I trimmed this down I had a few extra pieces on my desk and I tucked some onto this layout I did recently.

My next purchase is going to be the Rosey Posey as I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life process video

A quick post to let you know I got a process video done today and uploaded.  I used up the scraps from my January Hip Kit to get 2 weeks of my January Project Life done.

Thanks for stopping by!  Next up is a walk through of my portable Project Life bag that I take with me whenever I have to hang out for a while waiting on my kiddos.

Quick update!

Hi everyone! I have been MIA due to crop prep and then a nasty cold I caught a week ago.  I haven't had a voice for 3 days so... no new videos either.

BUT, my You Tube Channel has been sneaking up slowly in my absence to over 200 subscribers (wow, that is super duper exciting!!!) and I planned to do a challenge and prize for 250.

So, as I'm late to my own party, I decided to UP the prize.  I will be issuing a layout challenge really soon (like when I can TALK!!).  I decided I am doing a GC to an online scrapbook store for the number of subscribers I have at the end of the challenge - but, sorry ladies, I am on a pretty lean budget so not in the hundreds but the 10s!

By this I mean if I am at 330 subs at the end of challenge, I will do a GC for $33.  Or if I am at 240 for $24.  You get the idea.

So I will be back very soon to share what the challenge is.  I asked on a couple FB groups what would be the best store to do the GC for and seems like Simon Says Stamp. I want to contact them to make sure that will work (me giving GC to someone else) but unless it is a no-go that seems to work the best.  I wanted somewhere with really reasonable international shipping rates.

Thanks for stopping by!!

PS I also plan to do a couple more PL process videos as my last seemed pretty popular by the # of views it got and also a video on how I do crop prep.

Another couple layouts with my January Hit Kit

Hi everyone!

Unfortunately illness and crop prep have hit my house (I sort of associate them both with bad feelings, haha!!!) so I have been MIA a bit.  Here are 2 layouts I did recently and apologize they did not get posted here.  It is hard to post everywhere...

This first was a white on white challenge from the Hip Kit forum on Facebook.  I also have a Process Video for this one:

This second layout I do not have a process video for as I had a wee incident with my platform :)  I had fun using the chipboard and cut apart sheet from Crate Paper Love Notes. I am not a huge pink person so this is just the right balance for me.
I also use the super cute roller stamp from Dear Lizzy that came in the embellishment kit to stamp that "love" on the blue tag.

The You and Me phrase stickers are from the Dear Lizzy alphabet and the "remember this" is from the Elle's Studio cork embellishments that were both in the main kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Up next, I am doing a video and blog post on how I prep for a crop.  While I really get frustrating when I am doing it (as I would much rather scrap than prep!!!) it means I get a TON done at a crop and used to get 30-40 layouts done at a weekend crop.  I am only going on a 12-hour crop this Saturday but over prepping is NOT a bad thing!! It means I have leftovers to make scrapping at home super fast and easy.
