BOM pages - finally....

Oh yay!! I have finally finished some layouts to share. I was so excited. My friend Davida and I stayed up until midnight to finish what we were working on.

These layouts are for my BOM (Book of Me). The first is the March challenge of music. I chose to do what is on my iPod right now (or what would be on it if I could remember my iTunes password at the moment, LOL). The music isn't written in as I need to buy an new Sharpie! But here is what it would be: Twilight soundtrack, the "Hawaii" song (Jason Mraz), Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Madonna, ABBA, Elvis, Dixie Chicks, Def Lepard, Diana Krall, Celine Dion, Colin James, Bryan Adams, Sting, etc, etc... depends on my mood what I like. I was trying for an "eclectic" list.

The 2nd layout is April's and the challenge was our favourite foods, using a specific layout as inspiration (the sketch) and we had to have dimensional embellishments. Mine is using the super yummy Marrakesh I got from my friend Lisa over at Lisa's Scrap Shack (look I did a link, I'm ridiculously impressed with myself, let's hope it works...) The journalling reads "I still surprise myself by how much I love ethnic food! And to think, 10 years ago, I found mild salsa spicy !!"

Here is my card for this week's sketch. I love this blog but have never done a challenge before. This was my week to try new challenges! This paper was a challenge too but I loved these flowers so I cut them out and used them against this gorgeous damask. Thanks for looking!

Here is my card based on their sketch. I got this paper in a card kit from Lil Scrappers and it is WAY outside my comfort zone but I was determined to make it work.

I've been bitten

Okay, I now have a disturbing obsession with the Twilight series. I seriously forgot to BREATHE during one part of the movie I was so into it. I was feeling a bit sick about taking it back to the store so I assume I will be buying it very soon.

Already read the first book, and bought the 2nd today... sigh...

EDIT: I bought the movie yesterday while getting milk (sigh) and am 2/3 of the way through the 2nd book already... Heading to Costco at lunch today to buy the 3rd and 4th as they are still hardcover and WAY cheaper there...

EDIT #2: Okay, it is now Monday, April 6th and I have now finished all 4 books... sigh... I am sad but book 4 was SO awesome! And now have the soundtrack on my iPod. Did you KNOW that Rob Pattinson sings... and really well too!!

New Stampin' Up stuff...

Well, I had so much fun unpacking my first order from Stampin' Up (I signed up to be a demonstrator last month). The next two cards are made almost entirely from the preordered paper, rub-ons, clear sheets and stamps from the new Occasions catalogue that begins April 1st. The pp paper is all from the same pack! Very different looks, eh?!

I also got to play with my new Big Shot, very fun and made the both the small tag on the "Friends forever" card AND the big "journal" spot on the "Thinking of You" card. The Top Note die is scored around the outside so I cut that off on the white paper so you can see a green border around the outside from the die cut underneath. I can see me doing that a few million times :) hee hee... I love journaling spots/boxes/tags/whatever... I kind of obsessively watch for new ones at scrapbook stores!

I am waiting on one final box to arrive so I can play with the rest of my preorder... I am missing some "equipment" to do the other project I wanted to do... which really sucks as I was hoping to make a little Pick Her Up present over the weekend. I'll have to make it tomorrow night instead.

CPS Sketch # 109

I was on a roll tonight... here's one of the three challenges that I did... the other two are below in separate posts. This one is from Card Positioning Systems
