Sneak Peeks - Two simple cards for you!!

(Supplies: Card Base - Unknown, Stampin Up: PP - Sweet Pea DSP Stack, CS - So Saffron, Confetti White, Ink - Old Olive, Taken with Teal, Button - Kiwi Kiss Cordoroy Button, Ribbon - Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain, Punch - Scallop Trim Border, Stamp Sets - Vintage Vogue, Tiny Tags)

This card was made using the new Occasions Mini set "Vintage Vogue" (vine and flower) and the Tiny Tags set (4 you). Both these sets I purchased during the demonstrator preorder and are both the new Clear Mount style. I am very happy to tell you that the images from these new style of stamps are just as clear and crisp as the wood mount sets - because they are still rubber stamps and the same rubber as the wood mount!!

(Supplies: Card base -unknown, Stampin' Up: CS - So Saffron, Confetti White, PP - Sweet Pea DSP Stack,Ink - Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Stamp Set - Well-Scripted, Punch - XL Two-Step Bird, Scallop Trim Border, Brad - Filagree Flower)

This card I used two of the new punches - XL Two Step Bird and the Scallop Trim Border which will be available FREE in the Saleabration promotion January 5th! The stamp set was again the new Clear Mount style from the Occasions Mini called "Well-Scripted". A very pretty set. There is another similar style set available in the Saleabration promotion that I am really hoping.

Dormant List - Retiring Sets

I know I've been away for a long time and I do apologize. I needed to think out how to deal with the new Stampin' Up agreement and posting my projects. I feel okay about how to do that now and likely have enough projects/cards/scrapbook pages to show you for weeks. I've been busy and doing lots of stuff (mainly cards and am having serious scrapbooking withdrawal) and have four card groups of stuff to show you too!!

For now, here is the list of the Dormant Sets that are retiring as of January 4th. I will update with links slowly over today but wanted to get this up. Today is the last "suggested" day to order to guarantee shipping in time for Christmas so hop to it if you need to order for a present :)

Scrapbook room pictures

Here are my new tables!! Kind of hard to see but a corner and a long. My Ikea rails for my punches, my Becky and Lisa rails for my tools and a Clip It Up for my alpha stickers and bling. I am still working on finishing up so this will be pretty soon.
My expedit 4x4 cube bookcase - still a work in progress! My MM wall unit with ribbon, paints, buttons, flowers and chipboard.
Cards I made in the class at the Scrapbook Carnival in Edmonton this past weekend. Also the ornament card was a make N take from a SU booth. I don't have that set so wanted to try it out!

*BLUSH* Between all the stores at the carnival and another online order... these are all the alpha stickers I picked up in the last 4 days. The top left is Jillybean Soup, then Storytellers, MM and Jenni Bowlin(x3), bottom row are Thickers and the right bottom is Doodlebug.

Sorry, I haven't been posting

I haven't been scrapping much and taking pictures even less. I'm back in the saddle and will be here tomorrow with pictures of my *NEW and IMPROVED* scrap room. I honestly wish I could run out of my office now (I'm at work) and go home to finish organizing that. But I am doing that tonight after my run and promise to post it tomorrow. Hunt me down if I don't!!

I have three sets of cards to share, a sneak peek for November to share and if I don't get a scrapbook page done soon, I may scream uncontrollably. I love doing cards but... I crave doing scrapbook pages. They are my truest obsession (then dark chocolate, then Twilight, then Outlander books, but that is a whole other story)

I hope everyone else out there is happy scrapping!!

Sorry, it's been a while!!

I was away on vacation and now trying to get my head back in the game for work.

But way more fun than that, I am prepping for my Stampers 10 group that is starting September 16th. I have 3 fun cards and/or projects a month and plan on planning/buying/prepping for the first 4 months in the next two weeks. Ambious but necessary as I need (okay, want) the new hostess stamp sets from the Holiday mini and more importantly, I have one out-of-towner (Hey Amy!!) to send stuff too and I am heading her place in early October. Might as well bring it all along.

I am really hoping to work on building my business this year as down the road... it would be great to earn a free trip or cruise!!

Current promotion: FREE buttons (worth $10.95) for purchasing $45 worth of stamp sets from the Growing up section of the Idea Book is on now until August 31st!!

September 1st: The new Holiday Mini comes into effect.

Layout of "The Gap"

Here is the layout I did last night of my son's "gap" after he lost his top teeth. The smile was so cute for several months but the teeth are coming in now. Great BIG middle teeth!! Sigh, poor kid is apparently taking after his mom. We'll be in braces together.

Some Stampin' Up layouts

Well, I keep doing cards with my Stampin' Up supplies but truly, I am a layout girl at heart (don't get me wrong, I LOVE cards but...)

So here are two layouts I did last night using almost exclusively SU stuff.

The "Five" layout uses the Sunshine Garden designer pp and Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point Blue cardstock. The fives are all random chipboard that I had and the title is MM puffy alphas.

The "Swimming" layout uses the *NEW* The Write Stuff designer paper for the yellow grid background and the (wow) die cut journalling spots. It comes with three sheets of die cuts!!! LOVE THAT... let me say that again, I LOVE THAT!!! The brads are from the Stylized Silver Hodgepodge Hardware and the border and mat are Baja Blue and the title is MM Noteworthy Flocked letters.

A wedding card

A quick post today to show you the card I made last night. It is my aunt and uncle's 45th wedding anniversary...

A layout to give away and one for me

Another challenge over at Lil Scrappers was to create a layout for someone else. I did that this weekend and created this dlb lo for my brother of his grad this May. He got his Bac. of Education and it was a LONG haul.

The 2nd layout is a single for our family book of the event (one for me!)
(I used the SU circle brads for the embellishments - they are STURDY brads!!)

Layouts without journalling

This was one of the June challenges over at Lil Scrappers and it was a very, very hard one for me. I always have lots to write on my pages and trying to just let the picture tell the story alone was hard. But I think I did a pretty good job in chosing especially the first one.

(I used the fabulous SU corduroy brads for the corners on each layout. I just love these to death!!)

2009 layouts

A couple of layouts I did recently! I am working on my wedding album and end of the year cards so I have to wait on doing more layouts for a bit now. I am so excited to do them though... I am almost caught up for 2009. AMAZING!!

(I got a SU corduroy brad in on the corner of the Water Park lo, I just love them!!)

Father's Day card, Wedding card and a layout

Today I have the 2nd layout I have done for the Got Sketch 104 course I'm taking. It was a great sketch by Janna Wilson. I tipped it sideways and made a few changes to it but otherwise held true to her original. These pictures are from the T-ball season we just finished.
The next few pictures are of the Father's Day cards I made this year for our dads (mine and my FIL). They are a photo wallet with different pictures for each dad - pictures of them with the kids and also pictures that they might not have seen before.

The last pictures are from a wedding card I made for a co-worker. We are doing a collection for a spa gift certificate for her and I used her wedding colour of Lilac and added in Certainly Celery pp from SU.

Me again. A layout I did last night with the first sketch from the Got Sketch 104 class! I changed it up just a tiny bit. These are pictures of the kids from Jan/Feb this year that I wanted to scrap but didn't have enough from each month to make a page.
I LOVE these classes!! They give you a sketch, a layout following the sketch and lots of ideas. Then everyone taking the class posts their work so you can see how they interpreted it too. I get TONS of great ideas taking these.

Quick post

Two new layouts I did this week. This is Xmas 2008 (wow, only 6 months later, a record!) and a layout from when I broke my ankle last year. (Dec 2007) I have been walking again for over a year now so to celebrate, I ran a 5K on Sunday - the Family Y race. 42 minute finish and my next goal is 35 minutes for 5K by the Labour Day Classic.

Have a great rest of the week! Jen

Some stuff I've done

Oooo... long time no post. I'm still here, just forgot to post over here too!!

Here's the cards I did up for my SU open house 2 weekends ago....

Here are my BOM challenges for May and June...

This will be my family tree (I am using that apple pp in the background - cutting them all out and using to list my parents, grandparent, great-grand parents, etc)

Here are the frames I did 3 weeks ago. One of them is for my dh for Father's Day and one is for me. I thought we could hang them in our work offices. I just need to print pictures for them and they are done.

Lastly, here is the layout I did tonight from Carla's DT challenge over Lil Scrappers.
Have a great week everyone! Hope to have LOTS more to post in the days ahead... Jen

Got Sketch #83 and colour challenge

Good Tuesday morning... it is snowing here in Prince George... (yup, you read that right... May 19th!!)

Here is my take on sketch #83 from the Got Sketch blog. I took my colour inspiration from Carla's challenge over at Lil Scrappers - she asked us to do a card in turquoise and orange. I added in the brown as I thought it added that little something. I used my "Top Note" Big Shot die again (I LOVE this thing) to do the plaid shape and a diecut journalling tag (cut in half) for the orange.

Have a great day and happy scrappin'. Jen

DT Card and last of the online crop

Me again. This first picture is the last of the challenges from the online crop last weekend. These were done Tuesday but I'd saved them to my laptop and forgot to put them up here :) This was Mel's challenge to make these teeny tiny cards and I think they'd be great as gift tags or maybe to put an eyelet in the corner and tie onto a bottle of wine.

The second picture is my DT card for this month for Deanne over at Just My Sketches. I was having some trouble with it but then I found this cute Stampin Up paper I had gotten and it all just put itself together. Hope you like!

Another card...

Here is another card I did for the online crop last weekend. We were to make it more vintage (which I thought the pp felt a bit like) and to have a monogram and a diamond shape. Enjoy!

NSD Online Crop at Lil Scrappers

Aimee's Make N Take - Gift bag
Carla's Make N Take - Party Favours

Carla's card challenge - window cards

Carla's LO challenge - 6x12 layouts (this is an acrylic 7x12 page - but the extra 1" is the space for the holes to put in the album - the cover page for my 2008 family album)

Mel's Card Challenge - Home Tweet Home card - had to have a house of some sort on the front - this is all paper pieced - I drew my own pattern and cut out with various pp.

Bev's Challenge - we did a list for Bev answering questions, the 2nd part was to take one of our answers and make a page around it. The one I used was "the one thing I will always be... is loved"

Aimee's layout challenge - Use your scraps! This page is about Garret going down on the plane for his allergy testing. He was a real little trouper and even though he was a bit scared, he sat back and enjoyed the adventure of a new thing.

I got all this done yesterday for the online crop (still two days to submit your stuff too!!) I am so tired today from staying up so late last night but... let's face it, when it is scrapbooking, do I really mind so much??!! :)
Great week to you all!! Jen xoxo

Wow, two in one day :)

Me again, I also did this Easter layout 3 days ago but just took the pictures today when I was doing my circle album. I wanted to mention too... I did that entire circle album last night at my friend Robin's in about 4 hours! If I was doing another, it would take even less time as probably at least an hour of that was the learning curve!

Circle Album

Hi all!! I am not one for making mini albums... in fact, NEVER do it as I'd much rather spend my time doing 12x12s for my family albums. BUT... I wanted to try this Make N Take out that Aimee posted on Lil Scrappers here (you need to register for the forum and then look in Make N Takes). AND, I wanted to make something for my best friend Billie who is having a rough time right now. Hope you like it.
